Christmas on the Reservation

The holidays are a time of joy, family, fun and of course gifts for most children. But on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation, where nearly 80 percent of children are considered needy there is very little to be happy about on the holidays. That was before Dr. Karyn Yape and the other members of The New Renaissance stepped in and made it their mission to bring some joy and happiness back into the holidays for the poverty stricken children on the reservation.

The Chiropractors of The New Renaissance have collected thousands of donations ranging from toys & games to hats, coats, gloves, and shoes with so much in-between. The response from the community is truly touching. For the past three years the local community has come together to donate over one hundred gifts each christmas to Dr. Yape's office. Resulting in hundreds of VERY happy kids.

Once all donations have been collected and the gifts have been shipped, Dr.Karyn Yape and several other Chiropractors from The New Renaissance travel to Montana to personally hand out each of the gifts to the children.

For the children the gifts not only bring immense happiness and joy, but also bring with them a message. A message that there are people out there that care about them, and care about their happiness, and that there is so much more to life than what they live through each day. There's happiness and good people out there, and through the Gift Drive the children get to see that first hand. To these very needy children these graciously donated gifts are not luxuries, but necessities, and each gift received will be enjoyed, cherished and NEVER forgotten. 

 So whether you have donated previously or are planning to donate this year for our Fourth Annual Christmas on the Reservation Gift Drive, we "Thank You" from the bottom of our hearts, you have made a difference in the life of a child in need, and touched the hearts of many, so again... Thank You!
